S-cripture:

2 Samuel 6:14
Wearing a linen ephod, David was dancing before the Lord with all his might!

O-bservation:

This is the fabulous story of King David dancing before the Lord with all of his might with next to nothing on. Why was he so excited? Well the Ark Of The Covenant which housed the presence of God had been captured and was in enemy territory. However, David was able to take it back home to Jerusalem and it was one of the happiest days of his life. David was a “Man Full Of Joy!”

A-pplication:

What fills your heart with joy? Maybe it’s an upcoming wedding. Maybe it’s a soon to be born grandchild. Maybe it’s a new car you’re about to purchase. Perhaps your son will finally graduate from college in another month. But, what made King David to be a “Man Full Of Joy,” was about the fact that the presence of the Lord would now be back home again in Jerusalem. David was a man after Gods own heart. He loved the Lord. It was another day in time. Things were done differently by the Lord back then, but it was real to David. Everything I mentioned earlier in this application will one day fade. But the presence of the Lord is always new. His presence in me always makes me “A Man Full Of Joy!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I’m overwhelmed by your presence again this AM. There is nothing that I desire more than you. I need you in the good and bad times. It makes no difference what I’m going through Lord, I just need you! Amen
