False Honor

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Luke 6:26

Woe to you when everyone speaks well of you, for that is how their ancestors treated the false prophets.

O-bservation:

While Jesus was giving the Beatitudes to His disciples, He warned them to be on guard with people who were constantly speaking well of them. He said their forefathers used to speak well of the false prophets. In other words, when people are building a leader up with “False Honor,” it’s usually towards someone who is in on their sin with them.

A-pplication:

We see “False Honor” in our country regularly. People build others up who are pretty wretched characters. But because they are aligned with them for some personal gain, everyone applauds. Here’s the problem, you can’t hide sin. Eventually, the truth will come out, and someone will lose their life, or for sure their credibility, because it wasn’t gained through hard work and honesty. I’m reminded of Jesus talking about the two builders: one who built his house upon a rock and the other built his house upon the sand. Both houses look somewhat equal for a time until the storm comes. The one whose foundation is a rock will stand. The one who built his house upon the sand will fall. Don’t settle for “False Honor” just because someone is trying to get on your side for some unrighteous endeavor. Instead, stand like a rock because you built on the rock!

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Help me always choose what’s best for Your kingdom and my lifelong goals, not what is quick and fun and false. With your help, I’ll survive the storm because I’ve built it on You, my rock! Amen

The Ward Law Group was founded by attorneys Gregory Ward and Jany Martinez-Ward with a goal to contribute to the Hispanic community’s legal needs after suffering a car accident. Their passion shows in their work as they ensure that each case settles for the maximum compensation possible, and in supporting represented victims as they recover from physical injuries and financial losses.

As an experienced attorney who once represented insurance companies, Gregory Ward has a deep understanding of how they operate and what aspects can create or diminish the value of the cases he represents. This knowledge has led him to become a gifted negotiator and litigator defending the rights of his clients residing in the Miami Lakes, Miami, Orlando, and Kissimmee areas.
