S. O. A. P. Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional! S-cripture: Daniel 2:18 He urged them to plead for mercy from the God of heaven concerning this mystery, so that he and his friends might not be executed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. O-bservation: Today is the 20th anniversary of the Twin Towers Tragedy in NYC. I’ll say more about that in a minute. In this verse, we see part of the story of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon having a dream that troubled him. Not one of his wise men was able to interpret it. So he decided to kill all of them, and Daniel and his three Hebrew brothers as well. When Daniel heard about the king’s plan, he said, “Give me some time, I believe my God will give me the interpretation.” The King said, “OK.” Daniel then asked his friends to pray with him so God would intervene. They did, and God gave Daniel the answer, which spared their lives as well as the lives of Babylon’s wise men.
