S. O. A. P. Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional! S-cripture: Nehemiah 13:14 Remember me for this, my God, and do not blot out what I have so faithfully done for the house of my God and its services. O-bservation: In this final chapter of the book by his name, Nehemiah beseeched his God in heaven, whom he believed he had served well. Then, he recounted a list of the things he had done for his Jewish people and for the Lord, and throughout the chapter, he says, “Remember Me, Lord.” A-pplication: It’s important we don’t forget that in Nehemiah’s day, they were still living under God, based on their keeping of Moses’ Law. There was no Jesus, the Son of God, who would come to earth and sacrifice His life for the salvation of humankind. There was no understanding of the grace of God to forgive. All a man or woman could do in prayer was list their good deeds in hopes that, perchance, the Lord would give them entrance into heaven one day. The difference between you and me and Nehemiah is that we, as Followers of Jesus, never have to pray and say, “Remember Me, Lord.” Instead, we pray and say, “Remember What Jesus Did,...
