FAITH IS… BELIEVING YOU WILL MAKE IT!

How are your New Year's Resolutions going?  MY40DayChallenge.com - is rockin on!

Controlling my negative words, praying & meditating more, journaling, walking 3 miles a day, drinking my water, ....well my 'challenges' are all serious work!

I have been “working out” on a whole new level! Lifting weights, and walking walking walking …did I mention –walking!?!?!? Muscles are aching! It is amazing to think that every choice we make today really does determine our tomorrow. I am planning on a healthy future in every aspect of life – and we are praying the same for you! Whether it is your spiritual walk, health, relationships or finances –  God is going to bring BREAKTHROUGH for YOU!
Last Sunday special guest speaker, Bishop Darrell Hines, taught us to “Keep Giving, Keep Trusting, and Don’t Be Afraid”.  Spiritual growth begins with a decision. It doesn’t have to be a complex decision, but it does have to be sincere. When Jesus’ followers decided to choose His way, they didn’t understand all the implications of their decision. They simply expressed a desire to follow Him, and that was the beginning of an exciting journey of the soul. Jesus took that simple but sincere decision and built on it.
Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear. For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. Philippians 2:12-13 (NLT)
The truth is growth in the human soul requires a commitment to grow. A person must want to grow, decide to grow, and make an effort to grow.

In Philippians 2:12-13, Paul offers insight into spiritual growth while speaking to people who already believe
: “... continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose” (NIV).

Notice that it says “work out” – not “work on” – your salvation. There is nothing you can do to save yourself spiritually; Christ took care of that by his life, death, and resurrection. The important thing to note is that God has a part in our growth – but so do we. We must make an intentional effort to grow!
“He (God) who has begun a good work in you will complete it…” Phil. 1:6
Deliberately I exercise my faith by repeating these positive prayer affirmations:
I am thanking God – today – that He has a plan for my life!
I am trusting that God has inspired me to begin – surely He will guide me to succeed.
I am walking the walk of faith.
I am thinking God’s thoughts.
I am setting goals.
I am charting a course.
I am believing that I will succeed.
God is not a quitter.  He is a finisher!
God, who has begun a good work in me – will complete it!

I am Believing....I AM GONNA MAKE IT!  ---the first 40 days of 2009...are ticking down!
